The connector

Connecting your Claude or ChatGPT

You sign in — no keys to copy. The consent page names you and lets you pick the firm.

# In your terminal

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http Cosigne https://app.cosigne.ca/mcp

# Then, in Claude Code

/mcp → choose Cosigne → sign in

Claude Code

  1. Run the command shown in the app in your terminal.
  2. Type /mcp and choose Cosigne to sign in.
  3. Approve on the consent page.

Claude Desktop

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the address shown in the app, then Connect.
  4. Approve on the consent page.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Plugins → Connect to a custom MCP.
  2. Name it Cosigne and paste the address shown in the app, then Connect.
  3. Sign in and approve on the consent page.

The AI runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription. Data it reads goes to your account with that provider — see Security.

Setup

Setting up your account

The person who signs up does this once. After that, everyone else only connects their own Claude or ChatGPT.

What you need

  • QuickBooks Online Canada for each company, with sales tax turned on. The app checks this during setup.
  • A Claude account on a plan that allows custom connectors, or a ChatGPT account, for each person who wants to use the AI.

    Create your account

    Enter your firm or business name, your name, your email and a password of at least 10 characters. The app uses the language you’re viewing it in. You become the master bookkeeper, who manages the account. No card.

    Confirm your email

    Open the link we send you.

  3. 03

    Connect QuickBooks

    The setup wizard opens. Sign in with Intuit and pick a company. Firms repeat this for each client.

  4. 04

    First sync

    The last 12 months of transactions are copied and the tax review runs. The Clients page shows progress, then results.

    Connect your Claude or ChatGPT

    Each person connects their own AI assistant — see below.

  6. 06

    Invite your team

    From the Team page, invite bookkeepers or master bookkeepers, and restrict anyone to their assigned clients. A business owner can invite their own bookkeeper the same way.

  7. 07

    Add a card before the trial ends

    In Settings → Billing, any time during the 14 days.
